Endangered Species Chocolate

Today I tried Endangered Species Chocolate for the first time, in the Dark Chocolate with Cocoa Nibs variety. Some people do not like a 75% cocoa content, but I thought it was quite tasty, although rich enough to keep me from eating the entire bar in one sitting.

Although Endangered Species makes milk and white chocolate varieties as well, I counted 9 different varieties of their 3 oz. bar that were made with dark chocolate (not all at such a high cocoa content), and 4 varieties in their 1.4 oz. bars. Do take a look at their website for more details. (On a side note, how cool is it that their address is simply chocolatebar.com ?)

I paid $2.19 for my bar, although the website is pricing them at $2.79 for the 3 oz. bars and $1.69 for the 1.4 oz. bars. I supposed you should expect to pay in the range of $2 to $3, which isn't a bad price for quality chocolate.

Of course, by purchasing this brand, you get the warm fuzzy feeling of knowing that you are helping support ethically traded products and that 10% of your money will go to saving different species and habitats. Also, alongside information about the product and information on the bat that was printed on the inside of my wrapper, there was a 25 cent coupon for one of their 1.4 ounce premium organic bars. Always a bonus.

Also, you probably noticed the slight template changes on the page. Categories of past topics covered are now easier to find, and the archives are shaped up a bit. Unfortunately, our friend the stick figure with x'ed out eyes next to a wedge of cheese is no longer in the background. I'm thinking of a better way to incorporate him, but until then, here he is:
