Quick question:
What would you want in a cookbook focusing on lactose intolerance? What sort of dishes do you want to see?
What I'm getting at is, what would make you buy the book?
Let me know in the comments section. You as well, lurkers.
Thanks!

1. Kid friendly foods that are lactose free!
2. Good adult foods that are easy to cook.
- Easy to cook food.
- Lots of deserts!
desserts even >.<;
-Desserts
-A list of alternatives to common dairy ingredients
-A list of brands that don't contain lactose
-(this is just a personal preference and I'm not sure if anyone else will agree) Recipes that don't require you to go out and buy a lot of lactose free products that you won't use later. Like, for a chocolate cake recipe, using coconut milk as a substitute for regular milk. I guess I'm referring to things that can be found easily in your local grocery store instead of only being available in specialty stores that are hard to find.
I'd love to see a book that has easy lactose free lunches that I can bring to work or school!
Thanks everyone, keep em coming.
Personally, I'm always looking for recipes that are naturally lactose free or that use creative substitutions. I'm always disappointed to find a recipe for say lasagne as an example, and all they've done is use lactose free cheese and milk. To me, anyone can figure that out and they shouldn't need a cookbook for that!
The biggest problem I had years ago when I had to cut dairy was coming up with ideas. It seemed everything I thought of needed dairy. It would have been great to have a book that said "look - here are some dairy free recipes that make you feel like you are still eating normal foods".

i would love to see some kid friendly foods. nothing that contains tofu (i can't get my son to eat it) a list of foods that are lactose free.
Easy to make.
Similar to "traditional" foods, using substitutes.
Recipes using just regular ingredients, but don't have any dairy (or lactose).
Recipes that will appeal to the entire family.
-A list or index that details other alternatives to dairy products.
- Both quick and more fancy recipes.
-Desserts that other family members can also enjoy (without obviously noticing that an alternative has been used)
-Lunches, I find this a tricky meal that is now very boring for me as I have to take my lunch to work and there are no facilities to prep or heat.
p.s, thanks for all of the useful info on your web site. After years of problems I finally think I now know my intolerance is lactose so all of these tips are great.
